Process:

1. Consultation: We will meet with you to discuss design ideas, materials and budget. We will create preliminary sketches to start developing your perfect piece.
2. Design Development: A more detailed image, drawing or CAD rendering will be produced allowing you to preview your design. A price estimate will be provided.
3. Deposit: A 30% deposit is required
4. 3-D Model: A 3-D model of your design will be created. The model is virtually identical to what the finished piece will look like. At this point, you can view or even try on the model. Changes may be made if needed.
5. The completion of your custom made, hand crafted jewelry.

We have worked with hundreds of clients to custom design wedding sets, bands and other unique pieces over the last 20 years. Some clients have fully formed design ideas while others come with broad ideas that Scott works to develop and refine. Some come with old pieces they’d like to be reworked and others come with stones and materials for us to incorporate into a new design. Scott’s lapidary skills allow him to use regional stones such as Lake Superior Agates, Thompsonite and Isle Royale Greenstone. Scott enjoys the design process and feels honored to get to take clients on that journey and leave them with something unique and handcrafted. 

Does Custom Jewelry Cost More?

There is a prevailing myth that custom jewelry costs more than mass produced jewelry. However, when we design your custom piece, you get to decide exactly how to work within your budget. We will help you choose the type of metal, whether its 14 or 18 karat yellow, white, or specialty gold, sterling silver, platinum or any combination of materials. We will also work with you to find diamonds or colored gemstones with the most brilliance for your dollar. Whether you have $200 or $20,000 to work with, you will get exactly the piece you want, nothing more, nothing less.

Return Policy

Please read carefully before making your purchase. All orders and projects are considered custom orders, made as requested by client (you), and we are not required to provide a refund if you have changed your mind about a particular purchase or design for any reason. Each piece of jewelry can take several days to several weeks to create from start to finish, all depending on how you customized your order. However, some articles may be accepted for partial store credit or exchange if returned in sellable condition within 7 days from the date received. Buyer will be held responsible for any restocking fees and/or reconditioning fees, and/or any partially completed articles such as wax models plus all shipping fees as they are non-refundable. We will not refund for “buyer’s remorse”. Absolutely no refunds on custom engraved merchandise and any custom made jewelry. Items thought to be damaged or defective must be returned at the customers’ expenses and the validity of all claims will be decided by WHITE CEDAR STUDIO. If the received or was faulty or damaged, we will properly meet obligations under the applicable laws.

All in stock purchases may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of purchase.
